Photo Request or Info on front end bolts

Postby [SMAN] » Sat Jul 21, 2007 8:26 am

I took off my front bumper and headlights to do my HID retrofit. However, when i returned to the car, someeone had kicked around the bolts i had layed out and I have no idea where they go now. If someone could take a picture of the different bolts and their locations, that would be great. I need to know what goes along the front grill, what holds the headlights in (differnet bolts in each spot i think), what holds the mudguard under the car to the front bumper, and the ones that hold the front of the wheel well cover in place. Pictures would be great as i have about 20+ bolts to sort through. Thanks in advance.

I tried that, and it didn't go very well. I may have to resort to the dealership, as they should be able to tell me via partnumbers.

Unfortunately helping you would probably require someone else to pull the front of their own car apart and that isn't likely to happen. Hopefully you'll get lucky and someone will still have pictures of a previous project on their computer.

You might want to check local junkyards to see if there's a solara or Camry available for you to look at or (assuming you don't have a factory service manual) maybe your local Toyota shop will print out the appropriate parts fiche's for you (this is when it's nice to have a working relationship with your dealer).

Tip: Next time you take anything apart, take a series of digital pictures as you go and always place nuts/bolts/parts in labeled plastic bags/containers.

Cheers
