Where To Buy Replacement Fuses?

Where To Buy Replacement Fuses?

Edit to update: The fuses used in our Gen2 Solara's (maybe Gen1) are, it turns out, called "Low Profile" Mini Fuses. You can see them on the LittelFuse Website here http://www.littelfuse.com/cgi-bin/r.cgi/en/prod_series.html?SeriesID=156&LFSESSION=LSU5rATSgB

Purchase them online here http://www.tessco.com/products/displayProducts.do?groupId=615&subgroupId=12&search=false&page=2

Trying to find these fuses at a standard auto parts store is next to impossible. After checking NAPA, Autozone, Pep Boys and Autozone I finally found a "variety pack" of 6 fuses for $5 at another Kragen but it was the only package they had.

If you're a tinkerer like I am you might want to lay in a small supply of these fuses because you won't find them on the dark and storm night or in the middle of nowhere when fuses tend to let go.

Cheers,
Gadget

Help!

The under dash fusebox uses a tiny little odd shaped fuse Toyota shows in the owners manual as a "Type B". I can't find them in any automotive store locally (counter guys say "what kind of car you got again?" or even on the littelfuse website.

I suppose my Toyota parts department will have them (at a buck each) but where have forum members found replacement fuses?

Thanks,
Gadgetjq

Yeah... they're just mini-fuses... if your auto parts store doesn't have them, you should think about going to a different one...

Thanks for the tips.

I tried Pep Boys, Autozone and Worldwide auto parts and all said they'd never seen (or stocked) a fuse like that.

I'll expand the search to Kragen and NAPA today.

Cheers
