Noise in the wheel?

Noise in the wheel?

Postby scottct1 » Sun Sep 03, 2006 9:39 pm

I was making a left turn with my new Solara, and I heard a clunk in the left front wheel. It seems to make that noise all the time now. Has anyone else experienced this? My new Solara is spending more time at the dealer than in my driveway. :(

Thanks for any help!

Could you "feel" it through the steering column / steering wheel? If so, it may be the same problem we had with ours... see the thread with the Subject "820 miles, and in the shop already" where I chronicle our experience.

On ours, they determined it was a couple of bolts in the steering column that did not get torqued down at the factory; they tightened them, and the clunking has been reduced significantly, but not completely eliminated.
