i want to change my emblems to black pearl
i found these on ebay
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NEW-TOYO ... enameZWDVW
but im not sure if its for the gen1 or gen2. or maybe they are the same.
i have emailed the seller witht he question but no answer.. if this fits gen2 it would be a lot cheaper than buying from the dealer or other sellers.
thx

ps: i would also appreciate if anyone could tell me where else i can get a good price for the base kit

The Toyota logos will fit the gen1. I don't think (or have seen) the big cowboy logo in black pearl. You can always paint the emblems, that's what my wife did with hers. We used touch up paint in the can (artic frost), it turned out pretty good IMO. Unfortunately, we don't have any pics.

i recently painted my emblems and the chrome piece thats on the hood. why pay the $45-$55 dollars for something you can just paint yourself? i jus went to my local Autozone and got a can of Auto spray paint ($5). Ohhh yeah it's the same color as the OEM grilles too. Its not as fancy as the one you pay for buy i think its cool enough. check it out:

I bought my from the Stealership a few months back (about $130 ouch!).

thanks bro... the ones i got, i painted myself. took me about 20 mins. and 10 of those mins. were trying to get the back one out. that one was a pain in the azz. yeah like i said it wasnt too hard to do. it sure as hell not as *bling* as the ones you actually buy from the "stealership". but i think they look alright. beats spending $130 like you said.

I tried painting some plastic with their new MetalCast paint. I used the adhesive they reccomend before the paint. The plastic developed this crackling effect. Paint went on o.k. But didn't look nearly like what the color was supposed to be. Then I figured let me see what it looks lke on bare metal, it didn't look at all like the color advertised..I was not happy...
