Anti-Theft Alarm problem

Anti-Theft Alarm problem

Maybe somebody can help me out here...

About a week ago my car alarm started going off randomly at work. At first I thought it was a tree branch hitting the car, but the manual says that 2 blinks in the LED indicate that the hood was being tampered with (the tree was hitting the trunk).

Anyway, everytime the alarm is activated it sounds off the horn 3 times in a louder-than-normal fashion...manual says that an entry point has been left open and if I want full protection I should close it. I can't seem to find anything wrong with the hood, or trunk or whatever. During the oil and filter change this weekend, the problem was mentioned to the dealer and supposedly they checked and fixed it by removing a battery that was not within specs. Thing is, I forgot to check it once I picked up the car at the dealer (I was in a hurry) and once I got home that evening the problem started to show once again...not the alarm activating (hasn't happened since that day), but the alarm sounding off 3 times.

Is the dealer pulling my chain or what?

mine did the same thing but only when it was hot. took it to the dealer over and over. ended up ripping it out and putting in a remote start.
Alpine + Dynaudio = Sonic bliss.
