i think i drive too much...

I'm sorry this is just nuts, by april/may, an entire year with my 99 I'm expecting an annual total of LESS than 9K miles.

A whole lot of unecessary driving IMO.

whoa... am I understanding this right? You drive <9,000 miles, so therefore, anyone else that drives more is doing it unnecessarily?

I live 41 miles from my office. So I will put on 82-90 miles / each day I'm at that office. However, this is my company car. I frequently have to make trips Erlanger, KY, Evansville, IN , Cambridge, Canada and Chicago. All these trips are driving distance. (I drive any trip that is 5 hours or less) Evansville is slightly over but I do that one cause it's expensive to fly there.

Then I do stupid things like run to Nashville and back in one day just to pick up a set of wheels. LOL - 1,100 miles in less than one day.

I would have had a lot more miles this year, but my air travel was above average. (Three trips to Japan, one to Paris, three or four to LA, three to San Fran, three to San Antonio and 9 to Nashville. Even Northwest Airlines sent me a Christmas Card.)

Next year, I will be doing a lot of driving. I turn in the Solara at 60,000 miles and exchange for a new Toyota. I'd like to have one of the first Gen 2.5s so I'll need to average 2,500+ / month.

:o Thus why your handle is PhreakdOut?? I should say Travel Phreak  Gosh I could never abuse my car like that LOL.

Mileage

Postby HomeboyMI » Thu Dec 22, 2005 7:21 pm

I bought my red 04 Solara exactly 2 years ago. The odometer just turned over 5,000 miles. Do I win the prize for lowest miles driven?

Would some of you high milers please tell us of any problems you had along the way? It would give us low milers an idea of what to expect in the future.

My gen 2's odometer reads 10,052

I only drive when it is necessary, I don't go out joyriding.
