so i took my car in to the dealer on friday to have some details done and have the throttle lag fix done. when i got my receipt, it said that TC3001 was applied to the vehicle. i thought the throttle lag tsb number was TC006-05. the throttle lag is still pretty much present when i was driving home from the dealer. also, on the receipt, it said, "problem could not be duplicated, but similar tsb found, update ecu". the TC3001 operation took 0.9 hours (54 minutes) i thought the lag update was suppose to take somewhere from 1.5-2 hours? btw, i got my service done at longo toyota. hmmm...got me thinking...wtf is TC3001, did search and did not come up with any results. guys, i really need your help. thanks

i found this on the net from siennaclub, it seems to me that TC3001 is the lag fixer for the siennas. would it be the same for the solaras? should i be concerned?

PM Jackass Jeff about it. I know he works with Longo Lexus so he may know of the person with whom you should discuss the matter.

As for the wrong TSB being performed, you've got even more reason now to get the Trans ECM reflashed.

well it seems to me that TC007-03 is the lag fixer for the sienna, but the op code for both the solara and sienna throttle lag tsb is TC3001. no where on my receipt does it say anything about TC006-05. all it says is "Updated ECU"/"Recalibration Complete". the lag is still pretty much there especially when im making a right turn and i dont want to bring it in to the dealer again because it took them 5 days to do the work. also when i got my car back, my auto window still worked, im wondering if they worked on the car at all.

The fact that your "auto window still worked" does not mean Toyota service did not apply the TSB. TC006-05 calls for removal of the 10A ECU-IG fuse and has nothing to do with disabling the auto window function.
However the fact that it took Toyota FIVE days to do a job that should take about one hour AND you still have a throttle lag problem is VERY disturbing.
My advice is start complaining to the service manager loud and clear that you still have a dangerous throttle lag problem with your car, and also demand an explanation of exactly what they were doing to your car over those 5 days.

Hey somazn,
I had the same TSB done with the same OP Code of TC3001. If you look at the thread related to the correct TSB and glance at the actual TSB instuctions for the Solara (TC006-05), it does say OP Code TC3001 with a time of .9 on the first column of page 1. I think we got the correct flash although I cannot answer for your car's lack of improvement. I hope this does ease some of your worry.
