I'm not sure if anyone talked about this in the previous topic....i tried to search it but no luck....did anyone try to take off the OEM rear lip spoiler that came from the factory? I saw one the other day without the spoiler and it looks pretty clean.

I believe the rear lip spoiler is attached by adheasive. Can anyone confirm this?

It is a pretty clean look without it.

I really doubt it's adhesive if your dealing with down force, but I was looking at having one installed to help keep my ass down. If it really doesn't do that much good I don't want a shopping cart wing like every civic around so I'll have to find someone to make a rear diffuser.

I just checked the service manual. The rear spoiler is attached via 4 bolts and 3 pieces of adhesive tape (one "V" tape strip on each end and one straight strip in the center facing the front).

I agree it looks "cleaner" without the spoiler which is why I don't have one on my '04 SLE.

I personally like the look of the rear spoiler. It gives the rear that little edge to it. Without it the rear looks too rounded. I almost bought a sle without it, but as soon as I saw one with it on, I knew it was the one. :)

I have to say the Artic Frost looks better with the Spoiler. In fact, I just saw one this evening without it and I like the one I have on my SE.

I have to agree.. it all depends on your personal preference. I have a 05 SE VVti V6 in lunar mist metalic and I like mine with the spoiler..
