Just get it!!!!! J/K
The family is a big factor. I think you would be ok until you have more kids or your current baby gets older and hence taller. I would say you are safe, unless you plan on taking your entire family on a road trip with this car.

When I bought my car (Solara) I went through my Credit Union they hooked me up with any car in my price range. Maybe your bank can hook you up. Dont knock used cars either, look at ebay motors

Thats a GREAT price.

Is it a demo car? I bought my car as a demo car with only 5,000 miles on it. The list price for mine at the time was... $23,700? But they sold it to me for about $18,000. (only thing I was missing was sun-roof and leather.)

Test drive it, make sure you feel "good" in it. Shoot, its gonna be in your drive way for the next 4 or whatever years, so... "choose something that makes u happy"

Went back this weekend, and looks like dealer will lower the price even further, as it still hasn't moved off the lot yet. Looks like I've got the upper hand... only reason I haven't closed the deal, stopped by a Mazda dealer nearby to check out the 3's and 6's, but found some RX-8's that's now selling for over 7 grand off the sticker. Looked even practical with the freestyle (suicide) doors and fully equipped with every option you can think off... the freestyle doors help in loading/unloading passenger, including my little one, and the rear seats look useable, though not as much as a Solara.
Was tempted, but don't too much of those Rotary engine in these, but the rebates were tempting. Still thinking it over.

Rx-8 is very not practical due to no spare tire OR trunk (you only can pick one!) and back room is very tight. it is more comfortable then riding an 2dr integra or prelude, but you cannot see anything at all if you sit in the back. sort of like like riding a boat, you can only see outside from the little window next to you.

and most importantly, bad gas mileage. 16mpg i think?
