Lock Nut issue.

Lost the key to my lock nuts. Planning to remove the lug nuts and replace them with some I can buy from Pepboys or something. Only problem is that I don't know how to take them out without the key. Help. Should I order a new one from my toyota dealership??

Are your lock nuts open or closed end?

Perhaps a picture would suit better.

any tire shop SHOULD be able to remove lock nuts. However if you can get another key from the dealer, that would save a lot more money.

OEM locks keys are cheaper than any set of locks. You will need your vin and proof of insurnace (for ownage). You also got to keep in mind on our oem wheels, only certain lugs work.

I seem to remember that there was a warranty/registration card that came with the car... did you save the stub part of that? You can order a new key with that information and your VIN number. It's probably what the dealership would do anyways... just saves you a step...
