emblem adhesives

Alright, so I noticed when I took out my 'Toyota" and 'Se' emblem and replaced em with a 'VVT-i" one, it was kind of this unique clay/sillyputt/ adhesive that stuck once you put on and wont reattach when you remove them. Im curious to know what kinda adhesives/taped they sell out there (maybe like a 3M type of thing) that will stick if I wanted to do some emblem adding/swapping, something to withstand weather and/or watering. Maybe if something good is out there you can de-badge your car (assuming you want to) without having to worry about re-sticking them at your heart's desire.

OH yeah, and sometimes it seems like my 'vvt-i' sits a bit lower than the 'v-6' maybe the the lighting. Nevertheless, I need some peace of mind on removing/re-attaching emblem w/o worries!

Thanks

regular white 3M double side tape is strong enough to hold it. and it's easier for cutting. if u really wnat the same tape as the stock one, u might have to go place like HomeDepot. i know they have it there, dark gray double side tape. but it's super sticky, and u can barely cut it into the shape that you one, espeically the sign "V6". lots curve on "6".

I'd go 3M myself. Make sure you can get the thinner kind though.

What is the best way to remove emblems? Should I pay for someone to do it?

no dont pay anyone, its rather simple.

the 'TOYOTA' 'V6' and 'SE' emblems are stuck on by an adhesive. the huge Toyota logo and the 'SOLARA' are held down by pins, so if u take em off there will be holes. As for the other three emblems, what I did was I warmed them up using a hairdryer and got some strong floss and "flossed it out". You should be able to remove it by just "flossing'' it and gently pryin it out, its very easy as a matter of fact. Once its off you can try and peel the leftover adhesive by hand or wash it away with some warm water and soap.
