I feel pretty stupid but what the hell... I was under my car for 15 minutes and I couldn't find the stupid oil filter. Can someone tell me where it is located and what it looks like. This is the first time that I am changing my oil on my Solara. I've changed my oil many times before on my old Honda but I'm having hella trouble with this car. I've did a search on the site but I couldn't find n e post that was useful.

Well, I can't say for sure about the Gen2, but on the Gen1 it is right up front on the engine, just under the manifold. I've found most toyotas to be a LOT easier to get to than the Hondas I've tried.

So, I finally found where the oil filter was... but I couldn't take that POS off!!! My older brother who is as big as an Ox couldn't take it off either. Well since I had already drained my oil I was fuct. So I just put in new oil w/o changing the oil filter. The filter has been used for 3k miles. Is this a huge problem where I should just go change my oil again or can I just ride it out till the next oil change?

Yeah, getting the filter off can be a HUGE pain. Take your replacement filter to an auto parts store and find a "filter grip" that fits it. With one of those the filter should come off without too much of a problem.

Only issue, you will have to remove your oil again before you take the filter off.
