It is the gen 2 solara convertable review on Edmunds.com. The motor APPEARS to be oriented for rear wheel drive???, and also the intake is on the opposite side of the new 3.3 and the 1MZ-FE "I beleive". Anyone ever seen this on a real model??

The pic for that engine from that site is listed under the convertible. I haven't had a chance to check out the drop tops yet to confirm this. Can drop top peeps help out on this matter or I could go to the dealership tomorrow.

why would the convertible have any different of a setup than the hardtop? I highly doubt that that is from a convertible, but I am not saying that it can't be. I am guessing that it may be from a Highlander or maybe a Sienna. Interesting, though, isn't it?

I have an '04 drop top, and I can tell you that the engine compartment pictured there is NOT what's under my hood.

I have a 2004 SLE V6 Convertible, and that is NOT the engine compartment of the V6 Solara convertible. The engine cover is actually silver, and the engine is transversal (?? I think that's the right word, someone correct me if I'm wrong).

edmunds, just labeled the wrong thing for that engine.

that engine is set up for FR, so its impossible to be in a solara.
