head airbags recall?

I know there's a head airbag recall for all camrys 02-04. Is it for the 04 Solaras also?

i don't think so....it specifically stated camry's only! (no not even Es was entailed in this recall).

yes and technically Solara is a Camry Solara, so it should be included...

here we go again.

Toyota classifies the Solara as a Camry Solara in order to count the sales of Solara into Camry sales. Since Honda counts both the coupe and sedan as part of the Accord sales figures.

Aside from that, they are 'seperate' cars, and the Camry's problems will tend not to be the same as the Solara's. At least not until the 2005 V6 SE since it'll have the same engine.

when they were investigation the "sudden acceleration" problem with the 1mz engines, this problem was limited to Camry, Solara and the ES. Not wanting this to be an issue (i know solara sales are part of camry..and that its a camry-solara), but they both are somewhat unique as what one was plagued by..is not always what other underwent (look at tsb's for both) the 4th gen camry has soo much front stut mound assumbly problems...the solara luckily didn't!

The bottom line is that if they recalled Camrys and not Camry Solaras, then the recall is for Camry at this point.
