dust in the dash display

hey i was wondering if anyone has experienced dust/grime building up in their display console. i noticed it yesterday that in the casing around my speedometer, between the 60-80 mph area, there seems to be what looks like waterspots or some kind of smudges. at first i though it was on the outside but after trying to wipe it down i am positive its on the inside. if anyone has experienced this how did they get it cleaned and also is it easy to remove it to clean it or do i have to take it to a dealership to get taken off to be cleaned

There isn't any in mine, but if you want to you can take out the gauge cluster and clean it yourself. I would advise that if you haven't played with the cluster of any car before then you might have trouble because have to be REALLY careful. If you mess that up it's going to ruin the worth of your car.

If it's like my old prelude, then you just unscrew the screws that are holding it in, pull out the side bezel, unscrew some more screws, and unplug harnesses, and you can get to it.

mtodde,

Is your parents' Volvo a greenish color? Saw one drive by last week and the driver had their head turned looking into the yard as they drove by.

I think so. I haven't seen it yet so I'll ask them; they've had it for like 6 weeks. It is a V70 wagon I think. They have a metallic maroon Tahoe too and are at # 4. Their business is on Gumtree Rd - Graphics Corp.

It had to be them because my Dad said he saw the car there. I'll PM you the next time I go to visit them so we can hook up and have a 2 car Lunar Mist V6 SLE convoy.
