1999 solara 225 40 18 to 225 45 18 with drop tire question
looking for new rubber for the solara. i'm on 225/40/18 right now. I'm attempting to add some more comfort to the ride (sidewall). was looking for 17", but can't find the same wheel I have in them. i'm also lowered on eibach pro-kit. I think its a 1.2" drop on the fronts, no drop springs in the rear, but the weight of the audio system appears to level the car out. so wondering if anyone is lowered and running 225/45/18? from the looks of this tire size calculator I should be good. I believe stock tire is 205/60/16 overall dia. 25.68.
i'm leaning towards the bf Goodrich g-force comp t/a. looking for performance plus low to no tire noise. chime in if you have any other suggestions. I had the nitto invos and ate right through them in a summer just street driving. good performance and no noise, but excessive wear in my opinion.
