Looking for a suitable replacement

Hey guys, and gals

My coilovers are about to bite the dust, currently running JIC FLTAR's, and would like something similar, not as aggressive, and obviously less expensive.

I have looked at various options, and would like the community's input on any of those options.

I have been looking at Ksport coilovers, Ground control sleeves on Tokico's, BC coilovers.... Waiting for the Megans to come out to market as well . I have seen a link where BC and Megan coils are made by the same manufacturing company, but atleast in the Neon SRT models, there is a slight difference: http://www.modernperformance.com/blog/d ... -coilovers

I loved my JIC's but they are my third set, after originally having Tein SS, I went with regular JIC FLTA2's, to my current JIC FLTAR's with custom spring rates, on both sets of JIC's the passenger side rear topmount was making a hideous clunking noise (which I currently experience), but, you can't beat how the car hugs the road.

Any input is greatly appreciated, and if anyone in Cali is willing to help me fine tune the ride once I figure out what to get, hit me up, I could use a friend out here.... LOL!! I'm pretty sure I could hook you up with food and a beer or two.

I swear that all JICs have that clunking in the rear passenger mount.

Mine had it and my friend's Subaru had it.

I just called them up like 5 min ago.... asked about a trade in, which they do have, and they do the install, alignment, weight balance as well....

As for the clunk.... the rep I spoke to mentioned that he might be able to retrofit some VIP bearings in the rear top mounts, thus elminating the clunking noise.... I have to see though.

In a month or so, I'll be making my purchase....

If the price is reasonable, go for it. You asked if the Megans were shorter overall than the JICs...that I don't know. I can try and compare when Gregtrd works on my car ina couple of weeks since he has a set of JICs laying around at his place.

not only if they were shorter, more of how does the car ride?

I assume the Megans allow for a deeper drop, but how is their rebuild process, warranty, how are they dissimilar to the other brands out there?

I have to look at it from all angles, and try to work out what is best for the $$$
A few things I wanna keep are:

1) Maximum adjustability
2) Stuck on rails driving experience, no soggy, or droopy ride (no bouncing)
3) Long life span (I figure atleast 3 yrs in between rebuilds/change outs)
4) Good customer service
5) Decent price (I'd say $1500 max)

I have no problems going to JIC, and getting a new setup, but if a guy can save some money, and get quality parts.... why not right?

The roads out here on the west coast are like butter in comparison to NYC roads. Sh*t you get out of the NYC, into the outskirts, and the roads all flatten out.... so yeah, smoother roads= more longevity out of your suspension.
