Make sure you use plenty of lube on your bushings!!!

Or, you might end up like me and have a broken cable! :(

I dropped $167 for a replacement cable at the Toyota dealership. That's right, 167 smackaroos for ONE cable!!! :x :x :x

I've spent all day trying to get the bushing off of the pin!! :2gunfire:

And finally, Success!

So if you have the solid brass bushings already installed, or you plan to install them, make sure they are lubed up good and well or you might run into the problem that I did and before you know it you're driving along and you're stuck in either 3rd or 4th gear. :-?

Save yourself the hassle!

LUBE UP! :P

Hmm, wonder if this has anything to do with the issues I sometimes have going between third and fourth? I had attributed it to worn motor mounts before. So this will sound stupid, but where exactly do you lube them and with what? Trying to understand how it caused it to break off where it did for you being a metal bushing and all
