Mad Clutch skipping!!
Hey all,
Recently changed my clutch and upgraded to Clutchmasters FX200. I love the clutch, grips awesome under WOT. Only problem is clutch engagement, it has mad chatter or skipping. I was under the impression that given it was a full face disk that it would have retained driveability but it seems not to be the case. The chatter/skipping was present prior to the upgrade but I was under the impression that that was caused by the bad/slipping clutch.
Has anyone else had this symptom with this upgrade?
Further note: Upon install, I came to realise that the previous owner had bypassed a part mounted to the transmission and joined the hydraulic clutch lines together. Between the Hydraulic Master Cylinder and Slave, there seems to be a part, mounted to the transmission, were the oil lines enter and come out. I'm assuming it was faulty and the p/o just took the lines out and fitted them together. Anyone know what the purpose of that part is, and what it would be called?
Thanks for any feedback.
Peter
