The Viper 5901, Viper 5902, and the Compustar Pro 2WFMAS are all great systems, but they're not cheap. I install them all the time, and no complaints yet from anyone.

 Thanks mig0s.

I have the SRT 9000 made by CodeAlarm.
You can google it and a whole bunch of stuff will come up.
The one I have has every single option you can buy for it.
2 way paging remote (1 mile range)
remote start
Windows mod (up and down)
another windows mod for the sunroof
tilt sensor
interior sensor
dual stage infrasonic shock sensor
hood sensor
trunk sensor
temp sensor
telematics mod (full control of car with any touch tone phone, anywhere in the USA)
anti hijack mod (can kill engine with remote or by phone)
pop trunk
The ability to control 4 vehicles with 1 remote (the SRT system has to be in the other cars)
USB port on remote for charging and future downloads

I love this system :loveit:

It wasnt cheap though.
Everything listed and I installed about 40% of it Shades installed the other 60%.
Somewhere around $700-750 or so.
I started out with their basic SRT 9000 and kept adding sensors and modz. :D 8)

BUMP.... I need your guys help! I'm finally installing an alarm in my car tomorrow. I need to know where to put the kill switch/alarm horn crap/ alarm light/etc... Ofcourse I want to hide some of this stuff so it can't be yank out like sleepers incident. Also, I'm not paying for it my cousin is buying (due to I big favor I did) and having a shop install it for me. So, let me know what brands/system works the best.

I recommend either a Viper, or Compustar system. They're my two favorites.

If you're having it professionally installed, then you don't need to worry about placement of anything. They should be taking care of all of that, and when it's all done, they'll show you. Just request that they do a clean job, and to make sure they don't put the brain within easy reach.

Thanks TLMNICK I got the Viper Responder 350 2-Way Security System installed today. I'm so happy I finally have an alarm system for the Lara it's about time. Nothing to crazy but so far I like it this system. I didn't pay one single penny that's the best part about it. Since my car is now being notice I figure I need this ASAP. The shop here did a great job with the install and everything is well hidden.

Glad you went with a viper man. They're great units. I always encourage people to get some type of security for their cars once they start modding. It'll never stop someone who REALLY wants your car from getting it, but it'll make it a little more difficult, and the average thief won't bother. It's cool that the shop did a good job wiring it up too.
