ive bee looking for rims for my 2000 solara and arnt looking to spend a lot of money. i see a lot of pretty nice looking rims made by Drag but because of them being so cheap i was wondering if there really not good rims. I'm just curious on people's experience on them, good and bad let me knoww

I have no first hand experience with them, but I wouldn't spend money on Drag. Save up.
Trust me, I'm a technician.

Its not a brand known for anything else but being cheap. There are couple guys running these with aggressive fitment and dont look too bad. I think it was 17x9 +30 +25 and whatever.

But if ur not going that aggressive i suggest u go with oem wheels.

I went the cheap route and got some 17in mb rims. They don't look that bad but then I started seeing old beat up corollas and tercels with the same rims and now I regret ever getting them.

To the OP, what I'm gettin out of all these responses is no one (in the Lara/Cam community) has had Drag wheels before. There was a set I looked into a while ago, but I had other stuff to pay for, so I passed. If it weren't for that, I probably would have bought them. I worked in the custom tire/wheel industry for 3 years and I seen $800 wheels last forever and $8k wheels last a week.....

i had Drag DR8s on my coupe for about 2 yreas then sold it to a TN member who still has them to this day...NO issues with chipping paint, rust or flaking clearcoat on the lip.

my size however was 17 with a 45" side wall, which is pretty standard. I wouldnt trust these with a really stiff suspension and a small side wall tire.

i have drag wheels on my car right now, had them for a couple of months now and i have zero complaints. they balanced perfectly, look good, and there are really no issues with them. what model are u looking at? i have the dr33s, and im actually thinking of selling and going back to something with 5 spokes. but as far as the wheels themselves, i have no complaints

I have the Drag12's.
I have had no issues. They have survived the pot hole dominated roads and are still true. I currently have a 45 sidewall and am probably going to a 50 because I hate the feel when I hit a road hazard.
Got Boost?? :sweet:

I would only buy a big name brand wheel. I bought "elbrus" wheels year and a half ago for my solara. They look great and were a good price. But the clearcoat is peeling off them already.

Looking back I should have spent a bit more money and got bigger name wheels.
