1. The bracket doesn't line up with the hole from where the stock intake was. I would have had to cut off half an inch on the CAE to get it to line up.
2. Didn't meet up with the end of the Injen's angle.
3. Had to shave down the fuse box to make more room.
4. Couldn't reattach the fuse box (though I probably could get the screws to line up if I applied more force)
5. Had to cut and bend a lot of metal in the car for the elbow of the CAE to clear to be able to turn the CAE at the right angle to meet up with the Injen and to be able to fit the filter on as well.

All in all I'm wondering if it's because I had an early UPFD model and others had to go through the same thing, or if I'm just stupid. The darn thing would not fit!

I love it though the other day my ScanGauge2 read an average 33.4 MPG highway. THAT'S a first. Plus it was 90 degrees out side! I take that 50 mile trip all the time and I used to barely reach 32 MPG average.

they usually don't fit perfect, I had to trim a bit of sheet metal where it goes through the fender. One thing you will want to do, where the elbow rests on the metal fender, in your 2nd pic, wrap your extension with a material that will protect it from scratches. The UPFD extensions are notorious for getting worn there and wearing a hole through the pipe. I wrapped mine in heat resistant fabric to avoid the metal on metal.

On my scanguage yesterday, my intake temp was 70 deg. and my water temp was 173 deg. Your engine will definitely like this mod.
99 DWP SEV6 5spd 6.5psi+Meth, Tein+Tokico, EricSol+Brembos+EBC, OBX Headers+OBX 3" Exhaust, Supra MAF & 330cc, Spec 2+, Fidanza, TRD lip kit, Injen+Ext, Optima Red, Infinity 60.5+693.7i, 2 Kappa Perfect 12 VQ's+iPod+JVC DVD...etc

Ah! Good idea. I'll wrap that part in the heat resistant fabric soon.

Thanks.
