VVME HIDs

VVME HIDs

Postby mazen222 » Thu Mar 25, 2010 6:37 am

I just want to let everyone know that buying cheap HID kit from VVME is a bad decision.

I bought two kits, one for my headlights and one for my fogs. 9-10 months after installation both fogs go out, turn out that there was water infiltration in one of the ballasts, payed 25$ and got a new one, fixed the problem. Two months after that, my passanger side headlight starts to blink for two days and goes out.... bulb is burnt, i didn't replace it. another month goes by and my passanger side fog light starts to turn off after 5 min of being on... 3 weeks down the road, it wont even turn on anymore. So i was driving with my driver side headlight and fog only.
last week, my driver side fog light goes out... so i'm left with only 1 out of 4 driving light.

One advice to my solaraguys, You want HIDs, pay for it and stay away from VVME.

I bought multiple kits for multiple cars from VVME. No problems at all and it's been more than a year.

Are you sure you're not touching the bulbs with your bare hands?

ya i'm sure... its the ballasts that are going bad. So far i bought 5 and 4 went bad, either bulb or ballast, thats 80% failure rate.

That is my experience. Some might be more lucky. I'm now at my second summer since i first installed them.

I had bad experiences with them as well. I just got sick of it and starting doing projector retros with higher quality parts.

If you are interested in kits I am doing a group buy. Trust me the kits I am selling are better then the VVME kits.

I've been selling the kits for over 2 years now and I think I have MAYBE 2 sets that have come back but I got them all replacement parts for FREE due to the lifetime warranty.

I've read allot about VVME and kit failure which is why I do not wholesale from them. I at one point was about to be a reseller for them but didn't due to the quality of there kits.

i dislike ddm cos of their cheating "lifetime warranty"
let me know how angry you get when you find out the "lifetime warranty" just means they will let you buy parts for 10 bucks or so plus shipping every time something with your HIDs break... look at this funny comparison.....
