Update 4-4-2010

So I have everything buttoned down with my new retro...Here are some cellphone pics of the output. Not quite as nice as the FXR setup but I can live with it. (Passenger side rotation has been fixed, drivers side is a bit high but im going to leave it like that for a while)

So my reflector bit the dust trying to hold the FXR's that I had retro'ed so I decided to change projectors. Different projector retro = different thread :)

I just got some parts in the mail today and Ive been preliminarily fitting everything....I have to say that this is going to be the easiest retrofit in the world! I can't finish it as I am missing a few small "crucial" parts but I figured I'd start the progress thread. The projector is a 2.5 clear lens bixenon projector very similiar to the FXR

And it will work easily with gen1 or gen 1.5 :D

Here are a few pics:

Yes sir. I am impressed with this little guy. Although the source forgot to include the rubber washer and rear locking nut...I emailed them and hopefully I will get those speedily so I can finish this project!

I test fitted everything and the projector sits further back in the housing than the FXR did so I shouldn't have any binding of the vertical adjustment and no cutting of the reflector! You can't beat that.

The FXR's will be perfect for my fit since it has a huge headlight!

Are you going to peek inside the ones that ceasar did to replicate his method? If so, may a request you have a camera handy.. :)

xavier, please post as much progress pics as you can. I've been wanting to do another headlight retrofit but a dual projector rather than only 1. Please keep us posted...
