3" Magnaflow exhaust (quick vid) ** New video 3/13

Here's a quick video of my latest exhaust. OBX headers/y-pipe, no cat, single big ass Magnaflow resonator to Magnaflow muffler. 3 inch from the flex pipe. 3 inch has destroyed my gas mileage and now I'm running very rich. I used to get right about 450 to the tank consistently and the last 4 fill ups I've gotten less than 370, and I've been babying it. Also, my low end has noticeably dropped. It does pull much harder above 4.5k rpm, but I'm missing the low end. I'm not tuned so that might be the problem? Now I'm considering adding a cat or even dropping to 2.5" catted. I'm convinced you cant' get a good smooth sound without the cat - and a decent sound level. At least I've yet to hear one. I'll post a better video when I get my video camera back.

^He's also boosted and untuned, so there's the main difference.

Just not warmed up yet. That's why I didn't rev it much. It does have 135k miles though.

Stock intake with AFE drop-in filter.

If I get it tuned, should that help with the bad gas mileage? I'm debating between spending the money to get it tuned or change the exhaust (either add a cat or run smaller piping). I'm still using the stock s/c pulley and was under the impression that a tune would be wasted without upping the boost. Any ideas?

Is it a 5inch res. and a 5x8 muffler? Also what is the length of the resonator?
If you don't mind me asking.

wow 30 mpg. im really surprised. i'd expect maybe it to drop to like 25mpg highway.

but then again on the downside you're running what, 94 octane?

still, 30 mpg with your set up... :o
