I've been looking into this mod for a while BUT considering this trend is relatively new, the aftermarket leds look very cheap. Far and few are the led strips that actually look comparable to the Audi leds so I'll wait and would recommend others to do the same unless you know for sure it'll look good. If you do find a strip that fits the gen 1.5 headlights, let me know because I've been itching for this mod. Where/how were you planning on putting the leds? Good luck

I'd only ever do the LED strips as foglights perhaps, with Vik (Dawgz)'s clear lenses.

Lightwerkz had major issues installing the thin strips inside mine. In the end we had to cut about three LED bulbs off in order for it to fit properly. they went through 5 LED strips because the lense of the headlights kept cracking the LED bulbs because the clearance was just too small. If you're gonna do this be patient. I wish my strips were a bit longer...

Although not everyone's cup of tea... I am still happy with these:
