Adding remote lock unlock module

I have the basic I4, 2000 solara. I dont have the "clicker" to remotely lock and unlock my car doors. Is there a way for me to get the box that controls this out of a junked solara and make it work in mine. Would I need the original remote that works with the box. I dont really care for an alarm at the moment, but was interested in this due to the low cost and possible easy upgrade.
