I know they wont fit but how much work and cost would it be to get the bumper of a 2002 toyota solara on my 2001 solara. Like would i need different wires? or same wires same everything just different style. Also would it fit with my 2001 solara stock body parts. Thanks =)

To elaborate:

It can be done quite simple.
Everything is inerchangable when converting your Gen 1 to 1.5 or vice versa.

You will need the following Gen 1.5 parts:
headlamps
grill
bumper
fogs

From what Ive read on this forum the fenders, hood and corners are the same.
Although I could be wrong about the corners.

As for wireing the headlights on a Gen 1 are dual filiment bulbs.
Meaning that your highs/lows are two bulbs in one.
On the Gen 1.5 the highs/lows are separate bulbs.
So youll have one hook up for the headlights and another hook up for the high beams.

Everything is bolt on, no cutting or shaving required.
If you do make the switch without changeing the headlight wireing harness, you will not have highbeams.

Corners are NOT the same.

You will need the
Gen 1.5 headlights and Corners
Gen 1.5 Fogs
Gen 1.5 Grill
Gen 1.5 Bumper
Gen 1.5 Inner - Splash gaurds - (unless you removed the stock ones already, the ones in front on the gen 1 are diff then the gen 1.5)
Convert your headlight harness from H4 to 9005 high beam 9006 low beam.

Parts that are interchangable are
Hood
Fenders

Corners are different BUT they do fit the fenders, just not the headlights.

Edited with correct info from down below

the Gen 1 CORNERS will NOT fit the gen 1.5 headlights..
It will fit the fender but NOT to the headlights!!!

I should know.. when i first got the Gen 1.5 7 years ago, I bought gen 1 corners on accident and had to resale. They DO NOT FIT with the headlights.

The curve of the Corner lights are different where the headlights meet.

Yea... The holes on the bumper at the bottom line up different. Same reason why the gen 1 and gen 1.5 TRD front lips dont fit 100%. The holes for the bolts are in diff places.

The reason I know this is because I was about to buy a gen 1 with 1.5 conversion and the front inner splash guards didn't fit correctly. They had to use zip ties to hold it together.

If you search here on the site you should come up with tons of info on this. I believe a couple of members here has done this already.
