Which camber kit??

Which camber kit??

Postby SleeperSolara » Tue Jul 14, 2009 5:14 pm

Well i'm in a need of a camber kit.
I'm goin' to get a full set, [front and rear kits, both bolts].
I've been lookin' at some camber kits.
There are Eibach's camber kit and Ingalls camber kit.

Eibach's camber kit offers: +/- 1.75, it replaces the top bolt only [same for rear]. Cost: $29.00 for a pair.

Ingalls camber kit offers: +/- 2.00, it replaces the top and bottom bolt [same for the rear]. Cost: $22.00 for each. $11.00 for the upper bolt only.

Prices are from: http://www.tirerack.com/suspension/Susptabl.jsp?autoMake=Toyota&autoModel=Camry+Solara+SE&autoYear=2000&autoModClar=&brand=&category=Alignment

Whiteline camber kit: +/- 1.75, it replaces the top bolt only. [same for rear]. Cost: $79.63 for a pair. 15mm is for the front, 17mm is for the rear.

Prices are from: Global Performance Parts. The Whiteline camber kit is back order from Global Performance Parts.

I would like some input about the camber kits i've provided.
I was thinkin' about Ingalls camber kit, but would like some input.
Thanks.

I'm sure you don't need more than +/-1.75 deg. of correction. I have the same suspension setup as you, but only need the camber kits because of the spacers/low wheel offsets, which require negative camber to clear the fenders. Whiteline and Eibach source said bolts from SPC, which produces them and sells them as well.

I would think you would be able to get the car into spec with such a mild drop. If they are saying you need a camber kit to get your camber into spec with just tein springs, then something is wrong. They got my camber into spec dumped on coilovers without one, so I don't think you really have a need for it.

Looking to get what i paid..
I bought them from SPC.. I dont have the OE box anymore but if you are interested hot me up.

But the specs when I order mine were +/- 1.75 degrees front and rear

Yeah i thought so too, but lately i just noticed my camber really is really off.
I did take it to Hibdon's here, and they said the had put the camber to the max as close to OEM specs.....
They said it could be that the OEM camber bolts are worn out??
