My (no longer) weak teaser

My (no longer) weak teaser

Postby black99 » Tue Jul 14, 2009 9:13 am

Hey guys, this is my attempt at a teaser, albeit weak due to no photos....

On the way:
RaamAudio:
1 roll BXT
1/2 roll SS
6 yards Ensolite
Alpine Type R 3 way 6x9's
Alpine Type R 6.5 components
TRD RSB ( thanks Gregtrd as long as you come through soon)
6000k HID low beams
3000k HID foglights

Already here:
Tein Stechs
Tokico HPs
2 12" JL Audio W3v2's
Alpine MR-1000 amp

Installed: Alpine CDA-9857 h/u

You can see the basic Alpine theme going on here :D

Im starting to disassemble my interior tonight after I head to the tint shop to retint 8). After I break everything down Im gonna clean the entire cabin/trunk area piece by piece. Im also going to start tinting my tails and fogs tonight as well. Thursday morning Im going to build a custom box, not sure if I will spend the extra time to fiberglass the back half of the trunk and build a custom front that extends across the center of the trunk or if Ill just build a regular box with a custom front cover that extends across the center to cover the openings on the sides... Hopefully thursday night I will have gotten my RaamMat (BTW Rick is a saint over there, hes been a great help) in the mail and will install the sound deadener thursday night and friday all day. Hopefully by Friday night Ill have finished the box and sound deadener and build a custom floor for the trunk thatll hinge from the box forward and allow access to the spare and build a hinged side section that allow access to the side openings of the trunk in front of the tails. As planned, Im heading to my mechanic on saturday morning and were putting in the Tein/Tokico setup and as long as my RSB gets in on time, I will install that as well, if not itll have to wait until my next oil change...

Its a long process (and might be battling the rain a bit...) but I never sleep anyways so hopefully my ideas come to fruition in these next few days! I will keep everyone updated with the process then post up my pics when Im done. All I know is final pics will be processed after my upcoming Aug 1st meet here in ATL! :evilbat:

I took these pics this morning. I got everything pulled out last night, cleaned the interior pieces today and degreased and cleaned the metal in prep for Raammat. I spent about 3 hours late tonight putting in a half roll of the mat. Tomorrow morning I go to my buddys to drop in my Tein/Tokico setup. Also my speakers shipped out today :). Alpine Type R components and Type S 6x9s. Ill keep everybody updated as things push along.

Heres a lil extra :D :
I absolutely love my new stance and feel with the trd rsb and tein/ tokico setup! The ride is stiff yet comfortable and it handles very very well. No more boatlike feel :evilbat:

my tein/tokico:

my problem:

both of my front strut mounts were shot, the left one was torn in half with the ball bearings spilling everywhere....

I dont have pics yet but my 92+ sq ft of Raammat is all installed and Im waiting my speakers to finish everything up. I have to build my box still. I didnt have enough time (or money) to build a box yet, but itll happen this coming week. Hope everyone has enjoyed so far!
