I'm in the middle of the install, I know where all the cables go and such. But where did most of you place the ballast so that it doesn't get wet? Thanks

Where on the frame? I see a few holes, but they're pretty big and ballast mount holes are pretty small.

This is definitely a pain in the ass if you don't have a jack. :-?

My mechanic stacked em behind the fuse box on the driver side and against the ABS on the pass side, one tucked in front of it one tucked against it and the fender
( I have 4 ballasts )

Clean clean install, with no moisture gettin to them ( theyre water proof anyway )

Originally the guys that did the install double sticked em to the fogs... they fell off and were sliding around on that undertray thing... not a good idea.

wow 3M can hold through all that vibration? How long have you had it under there?

I would put them behind the fusebox but I already took up that real estate with the Headlight ballasts. 3M tape sounds like much less of a pain in the ass, if it lasts long.

Good stuff, I'm picking up some tomorrow. Thanks.

Another question since I'm here. I already have headlight HIDs that came with a relay. I bought the foglights, there's no relay, do I need to buy another one?

I recently install HIDs for foglight and I zip tied the ballast to the one of the holes on the airbag sensor mount. There is one on each side of the car on the frame rail. I first install my HID by parking up hill near the top but I found it much easier if you just take out both headlights and work from the top down. You'll find a ton of room to work with.

Another great location for one of the ballasts is under the battery theres already a precut hole that fits it perfectly. That's where i have mine. and the passenger one i just bolted with the window washer fluid i think...

Take out the headlights to install the foglights?........makes sense. Aren't you worried about the ballast vibrating loose from the zipties?

I think that's where I have my headlight ballasts located. Do you have both HL and FL setup (4 ballasts)?
