Ok,

I have been searching and doing research for the last couple of months, and realistically, our cars have little to no support, unless you wanna fork out $2k or more for a decent alternative.
Being part of this community, and understanding that we all have different backgrounds, and economic standings, it made sense to look for cheaper alternatives, thing is, that, although I have some info on this, I'm not satisfied completely with my findings.

So, I'm writing here to share some of my thoughts, and possible findings, so if any of you have the ability to source the parts, or know someone with them ready at hand, you can try, and hopefully we can gain traction to our own homebrew alternative.

1) Ericsol caliper relocation kit with Avalon/ES300 dual piston calipers... I have gotten mixed info on this, but it seems to be possible

2) Wilwood calipers <- if we could find ones that fit the stock tabs, an ericsol bracket with the 13" rotor would suffice for serious stopping power. I do have the wilwood catalog, still digging ;)

3) I was looking at the Toyota 4Runner's 4 pot calipers, the tabs are closer, probably 3.5 inches, the solara I believe has 5.1 inches.... I figure a custom bracket would help, and still be a feasible, and reasonable upgrade....

any ideas are welcome, and flame if you want, I just would like to see something positive, if at all possible come from this..

well...long story short...if you have to make custom mounting brakets anyway, you can make pretty much ANY caliper fit our cars.....you just may need to get custom brake lines made up (which isn't that expensive really- not cheap, but affordable)

I'd contact stoptech. They have decent customer service..price is right and they have a lot of applications. I used them for the merc.

hey Big... thanks, but I was actually looking into probably avoiding cookie cutter kits, and going more custom, as in do it yourself.
