Well, found out what my clunking was....my bushings on both sides of the TRD RSB are cracked. Put some WD-40 on there for the time being until I can get some new bushings. BUT...where do you guys know of that I can get some replacement bushings?

Also, anybody know the difference in size between the stock RSB and the TRD RSB. I know the TRD RSB is 3/4" in diameter. (19mm)

Autozone sells universal bushings and holders that fit our cars in red poly. You just need to measure the bar. I think they are about $20 for both.

FYI...got the new bushing from Mark at Hotchkis Peformance (thanks Ryan). His number 562.907.7757. The part # for the busings is 22793RB, although he did not have them anymore so he sent me another similar kind, #5335G (3/4" bushing). They're the "D" style you need and black in color, but they're little taller than the one's you get with the TRD RSB, so some extra "force" is needed and I ended up using two longer bolts (M8x1.25), one on each side in order for it to fit. Hope this helps others in the future.

would these bushings apply to the gen 2 rsb as well?

maybe...as long as the diameter of the bar didn't change.

ok. so I need to replace my 1999 solara trd rear sway bar bushings. I ordered the 22793rb from hotchkis. went to put them in and they are way too small. they are just a round style bushing, not the bigger d style. here is a picture of the hotchkis bushing in the package next to the trd bushing removed from the vehicle. by the way, the guy at hotchkis said they made the trd sway bars for this vehicle. has anyone had any luck replacing these bushings? were you able to make the 22793rb work somehow?

You could try the Whitline one to suit there swaybar, tho they don't list them on there website, so you have to find a dealer in your area..
http://www.whiteline.com.au/product_det ... mber=BTR39
it might be the service kit listed: KSK083-20

or quick search on ebay, these suit an 18mm bar and they are cheap and polyeurathane..
