Brakes

I’m looking for a new brake set up. I was thinking of Hawk pads, but didn’t know if I should just change out everything. Basically my pads are cheap Minike pads with a lifetime warranty, but the squeak all the time. They do the job but I hate them. I also wanted to upgrade my lines to some Stainless steel ones. I think the o.e. calipers do a good job but I’m open to suggestions.

Any ideas for a good brake set-up?

hawk pads, brembo or powerslot rotors and stainless lines is a good start. also get some dot4 high temp brake fluid. or if you can find a set/afford them you could get the supra brackets and put on the larger supra rotors.

also, i recommend getting just drilled rotors for a daily driver. slotted ones eat up your pads faster but it'll definitely stop faster.

I've got R1concepts drill and slotted rotors with Axxis pads in the front, stock pads in the rear (only because the rear pads didn't fit). Love them, never had problems and the pad wear is actually really good, still have plenty left and installed them maybe two years ago. i also just bought a set off ebay for my other car...

What will the DOTIV do for me? I am interested in the bigger supra rotors, do the calipers still work, could they be replaced with supra calipers as well?

Supra TT rotors w/ the Ericsol kit & SS hoses is the best bang for buck IMHO. You'll use the OE calipers and standard pads. Personally I like EBC pads, but they wear pretty quick. DOT IV has a higher boiling point. I run it, but really probably don't need too.
Let's just pretend I didn't grow up, or you're going to be terribly disappointed.
