I dont think its worth spending the money on tokicos if you arent going to lower the car.

new OEM genuine toyota structs are actually more expensive than aftermarket struct
it worth every penny on tokico, doesn't matter lower or not,
kyb is cheaper than tokico, so is the quality, you get wat you pay for.

+2. not just with solaras. any car. There is the quick and maybe cheaper way..
but it's not always the right way. doesnt always mean though that expensive is better.

why not just wait a lil bit, get some tein s tech springs. then boom. lower it. It'll make your ride look even better ;)

The main reason you go with tokico is they are stiffer and better for lowering springs. obviously they will still work for stock springs, but I didnt get why they were asking about them for stock springs, thats all. I have never researched oem struts since I have never had a use for them, didnt know tokico is cheaper. Go with the toks then.

Save another $150 and buy s-techs to go with it.

Generally speaking, when you buy new struts you technically "should" be getting new springs as well.

You should purchase struts for how you will use them. Regardless of budget, OEM is probably the most comfortable. KYB is a good substitute for a soft ride with less cost. Tokico offers a stiffer ride for durability and handling.
