I know this has been talked about before and i did try the search function, but i couldn't really get an answer to my question. Would i be wasting my money if i were to buy the Apexi SAFC II, if i only have an injen intake and exhaust? Is it worth it for me to do all the dynoing to try to correct the overly rich mixture i have due to the intake or should i just not bother? i don't necessarily want to take the intake off, if that helps in any responses. Thanks

Well the little hp gain you get from just those mods and a a tuned S-AFC wouldn't be that justifiable for the price of the AFC and the cost to get in installed in tuned...but hey, any hp is better than none, right? Realistically, you are only looking at a 3-5hp gain to the wheels. Not much. Now if you s/c'ed, you will see considerable gains.

Hey Flip, not to jump on the topic but what about with a 5S? Would a SAFC give me my low-end torque back? Since I do most of my driving is @ 70+ I don't really miss it, but it would be nice :).
Let's just pretend I didn't grow up, or you're going to be terribly disappointed.

Not necessarily. If you are running an aftermarket intake and you want your low end back, put yoru stock airbox back on and you will get true results. :)

Can't... Kind of killed the box taking it out :). Obviously I don’t have a dyno, but the car seems to respond a little quicker at higher speeds with the intake. I just wanted to know if this was a way I could have my cake and eat it too with the SAFC. Thanks for the information.

Actually if you have S-AFC you will only have few hp gain, but it will smooth out the power curve with proper tunning (with your blot-on parts). It will make your car runs more power and smoothly. I think HKS has one A/F controller for N/A cars with basic bolt-on. However, tunning is expensive (shops starts one hour tunning for $150 - 250)

The SAFC2 that is available on ebay is the japanesse version. The instructions are not in english and they don't have any warrenty. I was considering getting one and I talked to the dyno turner at my local shop and he said that he wold not even be able to tune the thing because it's all in japaneese. The american versoin will not be out for at least 2 months, I would either wait for the US version or get the one that is available from APEX'I USA.
