well i got a response back from the trim kit guy; asked him about the a/c controls in regards to the manual or auto...here's what he wrote:

"Dear Josh,
Unfortunately I don't see your car and can't tell
exactly.
Please check the shape of the parts on the diagram and
compare them with appropriate place in your car.

Here is payment instruction.

REgards, MAx"

the ebay website notes that it is a 2001 and up trim kit, however, the diagram also says it's for 99 and up, so since that is the case...i'm gonna back out of this group buy since i have a 99 and avoid more confusion. thought you guys might find this message helpful.

If u still want a trim kit, alkaplus.com gives u both covers for the auto and manual a/c controls(it's not in the diagram). But costs a bit more than this groupbuy.

Or u could stay on the groupbuy and alkaplus.com will make u the a/c controls that u need. Not sure how much they'll charge u tho.

it should be the same. I don't see any difference at the interior for the 99-03 solara.

yup hes right.. its the same from 99 to 03.. only thing diff is the AC part. but the shouldn't matter cuz they come with all of the diff manual and auto ac parts..

i had alot of extra parts left over from the last kit i bought cuz they give you all the options possbile

that's what i want to change too, but i don't think this kit covers that or any other kit for that matter, i could be wrong about that though. most people have painted theirs.

not the trim kit does not come witht he factory parts.. there is not replacement for the factory trim. What im planning to do it take the OEm trim off and i am going to buy some carbon fiber vinyl tape and i will cover the wood trim with that.
