Question on ERIC SOL Brake kit

but yah...just wanted to take a jab at that description is all

Unsprung is anything not sprung  ..ie, anything on the suspension itself. So calipers...springs, control arms, etc...qualify, even though they don't rotate.

here is what they told me:

Hi,

No, it is not. I copied this from the auction description:
"This big brake upgrade was manufactured by revolution Brake LLC and usually sells for around $1200.00"

Thanks.

Daryl.

Why do you say *fake*??
It's just a *repackaged* Wilwood kit..read this from their ad on E Bay:

CALIPERS, Wilwood forged Superlite four piston fixed mount. These calipers are extremely rugged and light to help reduce unsprung weight. The forging process allows for a very strong rigid design without the use of excess material, they are super light (4.5 lbs compared to stock caliper around 9 lbs each). For more information look on Wilwood's site, http://www.wilwood.com/Products/001-Calipers Don't be put off by their excessive use of "racing", it's all about liability. These calipers can be found in Wilwood street kits also, though they are equally at home on the track.

its not even repackaged!!! its a Kit manufactured by revolution Brake LLC.. he used wilwood as a reference as stated in his response to me....

basically its a knock off good luck to whoever bought it!

That kit is trash and fake. I am working on a plug and play kit for our cars using Supra TT rotors, 4 piston lexus calipers, EBC redstuff pads, and Goodridge lines, estimated cost $900. This will be a plug and play TRD4life track proven kit.

Joe

perfect-brake-performance wrote:Hi Joe,

I'm afraid the only rear I have is a 325mm 4 piston designed to work with the OE parking brake. It uses a special drum for that purpose and hence a two piece rotor. The kit sells for $1450 and is a complete bolt on unit.

Thanks.

Daryl.

JavaJoe_2 wrote:So can you make a combo price(auction) for both the front and rear? These are Wilwood calipers and what brand of rotors?
Thanks, Joe

perfect-brake-performance wrote:Hi Joe,

The rear rotors are from our stock. We've been supplying these for the last ten years and they are never more than a week away even if we are out of stock. The front and rear kits use the Wilwood calipers, yes.

I will do front and rear for $2140 and I will pay shipping. We don't keep the rear in stock as it's a slow mover, and so we would build to order. It is about 2 weeks out.

Let me know if this is of interest.

Thanks.

Daryl.

He does state that these are in fact WilWood, in the auction and in a reply.
He has 100% feedback.
Looks legit to me.
If they were in fact fake don't you think someone in his 537 sales would have mentioned that??

The ebay listing reads to me that the kit is produced by perfect brakes (brackets and rotors), but assembled with wilwood calipers. The seller only refutes that it's not a total wilwood kit. Does anyone have actual proof that this is a fake kit?

Mark, what was your question to the seller? I still read it as the kit is produced by perfect brake and includes wilwood calipers. It would be comparable to ground control using eibach springs.

Check out the company's website at www.revolutionbrakes.com. They sell kits utilizing their own calipers, and others with wilwood calipers. They just design the brackets and such to fit many different applications.
