Thanks for your inquiry. We will need you to send us your headlights for retrofitting. The whole process would take 2-4 business days depends on our word load. However it may take up to 7-10 business days. Some project we need to do it slowly and little by little each day to ensure highest quarlity.

Following is a breakdown for this project:

$450 Hella HID system including Hella Bi xenon projectors (brand new parts with warranty)
$300 Rretrofit customization cost (most Japanese and German import)
$150 Type S projector enclosure (please check http://hidtech.com/images/02171.jpg and http://hidtech.com/projects/04accord.html)
$50 Plug and play wire harness for H4, 9004, 9007 lighting system with relay
$50 Return shipping and handling within the US

Also there is a $50 dollar off discount off your total if you are paying via personal check or money order.

Let us know if you have any more questions.

I definitely think we could get a discount for this.

That's a complete HID retrofit with all equipment... I think non-bi Xenon's are cheaper. The projector + labor on the headlight assembly is $450. They also have cheaper projectors- Type S was the most expensive.

Thats not bad..but what will it look like? Can they black out the housing?

And you would need to find some headlights on ebay if its your daily driver.

Ok... I'm going to look into a retrofit group buy with HIDTech just so we can see what our options are. Will post results after some bargaining.

Keep trying the other manufacturers for the custom assemblies, though.

would the hidtech retrofit be compatible with the mccullough hid kit? or is a kit included with the retrofit?

When they get back to me I'll find out if other HID manufacturers are compatible. Assumption is the mother of all f ups, but from what I know I think they're relatively interchangable.

From the single retrofit price breakdown provided, the HID kits are priced separate from the projector + labor, i.e. you can buy one without the other.

Yeah, I'm really under the impression that you don't need to buy HID kits- they'd be optional. They will be putting in HID projectors, though.

I don't really know what halogens will look like in a HID projector, but I posed the question to them to see if the light output would be at least drivable. Still waiting...

I'm looking into it, but to change the reflector from chrome to black will probably cost more than just leaving the reflector alone- they'd have to do extra work so I'd say it's reasonable to charge a little more before they seal your lights up. I'm def going to try to get that extra work for free if possible.

$1000 huh? ummm...no HID for me! Hopefully, they will look good with high-powered bulbs (Polarg Shining Wizards for me! :D ) Retrofitting will definently be worth it, even if it would be $1000+.
