This is a 1mz block bored to 3.1L . Arias pistons , modified Eagle 22R forged rods, ARP hardware, MLS head gaskets, all new bearings , seals.

The Block looks amazing!

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. If you've noticed I've been MIA from the forum lately, this build was why.

As Gabe said, the motor is a 1MZ bored to 3.1 with forged pistons and rods. Check my cardomain page for a complete listing. The motor was in great shape when I got it, but I have the problem of needing to mess with everything.

Believe it or not, I would say the worst part of the swap was the passenger axle. After having the axle/bearing and mount bushing pressed in and out by my machine shop, a little coaxing with an aluminum bat finally got it in.

I'll post up more pics and vids over the next few days. The motor has 500 miles left to break in, and then I'm off to the dyno. I need to install the return-fuel system still, and I've got a few exhaust things to polish up. Over the summer months I plan to install a 100-shot NOS and have some fun!

Hey Ryan. If your gonna run nitrous along with boost, get your self a MSD ignition, emanage, split second FTC, something you can pull timing with. Also, when your installing the return style fuel system, you may want to ditch the OEM FPR and get yourself a rising rate adjustable FPR, as i suspect your current injectors will be maxed right out at 10psi.

Thanks for the heads up. I already have an Aeromotive FPR waiting to be installed, but I suspect a rising rate unit may be in order as well. I believe we talked about the Vortec FMU a few months back.

Very nice Ryan! Props for doing the rebuild yourself. Engine work is pretty fun, especially with the motor out of the car. I give you a lot of credit for learning it on the Solara though... I had to get something easier to learn with, lol!

Maybe we can meet up this summer when the 240 runs... I'd love to see you guys and the car again!
