are you able to fit a different filter on weapon r?

I should be able to when I have the time. I've got alot going on right now and haven't been able to do anything with my car.

Yeah, you can put a different filter on any intake, as long as you can find the same size.
Trust me, I'm a technician.

You still won't pass smog if the sensors are not on line.
It usually takes a while for that.
I've done this for my car using my laptop. Clear them and then I wait to see the sensors all start up.

i think it kinda depends on the particular laws of his state.

i know here in texas, for example, they don't hook anything up to the car, they just do a visual check for CELs and check the lights and horns.

when u get the spirings, I highly recommend

1) do the work yourself even if u've never done it before, u will get to know ur car so much better an feel proud of urself afterwards

2) get some struts for those springs! if u dont want to pay uber expensive, get some springtech struts, I've had them on for about 2 weeks now and not only do they give you much better control, acceleration, braking and looks, but they're dirt cheap too. now that i've tried these, paying 2x the price would not justify paying for tokiko's or f u even less kyb's, which are like stock.

by the way, running springs with stock struts will feel dangerous... from my experience, highly uncivilized i drive in quebec: wors roads in north america and it felt like the car changed direction all the time... while giving me a free butt massage and I also had to get a paper bag for drunk passengers prone to puking.

3) good luck with ur modding, once u get the pill, it's hard to stop... but with a solara there are only that many things to do... that's good!

Sigh.

Are you driving yourself into debt through a friend to modify your car? No offense, but that is a horrible decision man.

If I were you, I would post a WTB ad in the FS section here for a stock intake. Lots of people upgrade and I'm sure they have them laying around and would sell them for cheap. Get your car fixed and don't mess around with it until you have the money to do it and you have done the research. Make sure that you understand how to install and purchase the right parts before you do anything else.

I hate to be harsh, but that's my two cents. Modifying a car is primarily about doing your research and having the money to do things right the FIRST time.

i just bought an injen off of another user here and it works great...no check engine lights yet.

i do have a brand new Ebay aftermarket intake here which i will sell to you for only $20 shipped if you want to give it a try. i bet it will work better than that pvc creation you made but definately dont guarantee that you will run for long without another check engine light coming on after a few miles.

let me kow if you want it

Any chance of you taking some pics of this "pvc creation"?
I'm kinda interested to see how it turned out. Maybe just me.
