Which wire on the Ignitor is the tach signal?

Postby SolaraPete » Tue Jul 14, 2009 5:23 pm

The blue wire should be tach signal - 2nd wire from the top of the ignitor on gen1 solara. Thats what i use for remote start tach signals. On 3rd gen camry's, i believe tach was black at the diagnostic plug - not ignitor.

| TACHOMETER|black/orange | |behind glove box *8 |
*8 At the ECM. On the 4 cylinder models it is in the top plug. On the 6 cylinder models it is in the second plug from the top.

I found this on
http://www.the12volt.com/installbay/for ... ?TID=50493
I'm gonna try this. I'll let you know what happens.
