nitrous on a stock motor???

lol, damn man, too much info .... heheheh

naw, my basic question was whether or not it was safe to purge into oven-like temps without fear of detonation. which you answered in your first sentance.... :-)

i'm not planning on running nitrous anytime soon myself...but being here in texas, if i were to install, i would want to purge to the engine bay in general just to reduce collective heat before running the shot (texas asphalt gets to more than 110 in the summer daytimes).

i'm totally aware of the cryO2 system, and the CO2 cooling bars, the cryo2 ring (for intercoolers), and the freeze bulb for the intakes.

personally though, if i were buying a system that required a bottle, i'd just get nitrous, and then if i wanted to do any of those other things, just reroute the nitrous to accomodate....

but underlying it all was the question in my head: is it safe to run nitrous around an engine bay like that, and have it exposed to high heat (without an ignition source).
