I'm not sure if this is the same wing or not. That without a doubt isn't the same website though. There was a thread in the past in regards to an accord coupe type wing that fit the Solara. Would look sick for sure imo for those who don't have the oem wing. I have a feeling that the one in your link isn't the same one though. But I'm really feeling the wing in these pics.

Stock Spoiler FTW!

x2x2x2

here's my deal: if you drive a RWD car, put anything you want on the back end, gaudy, ugly, simple, sleek, whatever....

BUT since solara is FWD, the only 'function' a rear spoiler will have, is to look good.

and IMO, that spoiler you posted (while it doesn't look bad in-and-of itself) won't look good on the solara. reason being the aesthetic 'lines' of the car, which the OEM spoiler complements very nicely

if you have no spoiler, i'd say to go find an OEM one...and if you have an OEM spoiler, then that's the best looking one you can find (IMO).

Gen 1 tail without a spoiler is the best look, I think. If you're dying for a spoiler I'd get something that isn't curved at the ends like that one is.

Wassup, D-money? I'm not sure exactly what it is that you want an opinion about, but like most SolaraGuys, I have one anyway, and I'll gladly give it to you. Actually, I have more than one.

1. You can't beat FREE SHIPPING anywhere. I've shopped eBay over 50 tiimes in the past year, and the shipping cost have been more than the amount I paid for the products.

2. The two reviewers that are posted seem very pleased. I never review anything dishonestly, so I would tend to consider whatever anyone writes about a product both negatively and positively.

3. J.C. Whitney is a very reputable company. I discovered them in one of their magazines back in 1980 and I used to order from them all the time. Even then, they had been around for 50 years or so. You could tell by the pictures of the cars in their ads and some of the wierd things they were selling. That was before I discovered the Internet, actually long before the Internet was available.

4. Finally, the part that says they ship in 2 - 3 weeks is a plus. They always gave honest shipping expectations and usually shipped earlier than stated. That is far better than a lot of companies and people I've dealt with on the Internet.

Those are my opinions. I hope they help. Jimmm

P.S. I don't really care for spoilers. They are so common.

I want your gen2 spoiler jimmm ;)

I agree with NICK, that spoiler look like CAMRY 92-96, i dont take even FREE, i rather buy Universal stylist spoiler.

Gen2 Solara's spoiler looks cool on gen1.5 Solara, just need a little
mod.

how is that even possible? its not the same shape lol

I wish i could have stopped that Black Solara 2002 with a 2004 Solara's Spoiler that i saw on the street to take a pic and post on here, after that day i went to my friend's bodyshop he said, anything can fit if we do some modification as you can see Honda Accord spoiler fit with Solara.

One of my other friend he has Toyota Celica GTS 2003 with a Honda Civic lipkit, he modified it somehow and installed it on a Celica, he told me to find some junk lips from garage and he do modification for my Solara but i did not want cause i want the same look as Kaminari lips. The time you'll spend and all those stuffs, its not eazy cause ive waited enuff ;)

Ofcourse gen 2 cant fit with gen1, you have to do the mod job same as when you install Bodykit.

^^ Yes, fiberglass does wonders. If you are handy with the griners and laying glass and the bondo you can make anything work.

I know a dude who can put an Escalade front on your Lara if you want. :D

D-money, keep your stock spoiler dude. Based on the sig pic I see, I think your car has a really clean and classy look to it. You don't have to have a pile of mods to have a nice looking car. I am one who can always appreciate a car like this when I see one that's stock, yet clean as hell.

I love the stock spoiler because it's not really a spoiler at all...its merely a little "lip" at the end of the trunk lid with a wicked-lookin LED 3rd brake light in it.

I remember we had a topic like this about the Acura CL spoilers. The CL's spoiler flows pretty well with the Solara's body, in fact just adding the spoiler alone almost completely transforms the silhouette and side profile to resemble the 2nd gen CL's. The spoiler you posted looks similar but unfortunately doesn't compliment the body lines at all. Probably because the angles are too prominent whereas the CL's spoiler is curved and without edges of any kind.

A while ago I was looking at the OEM spoilers found on the previous gen Lexus SC, they look identical to our stock spoilers. I want to take measurements and see what I get because the SC has a decent amount of aftermarket support in terms of spoilers.

^^ yeah.....but.....then people would be mistakin your ride for a CL.... to me that's like a toyo WANTING to be a acura....

but to each their own.

i just like the fact that the only cars that have our (gen 1) flat-lip type rear spoiler are the solara's, the gen 1 lexus SC....and maybe the g35 (i don't remember if it's flush against the trunklid, or if its raised a bit).
