You might also think of offering a low compression head as an option. It might help with the knock issue of the 1MZ block.

JavaJoe_2 i thought about the low compression heads, but it increases the cost of the motor substantially. I am offering a custom thicker headgasket to lower the compression for the s/c guys

I just had to ask...

Since the 3MZ had a bore of 92mm and the 1MZ 87.5mm, do you you port the heads only to increase airflow or do you bore them out. Just thinking if you don't then the decrease in chamber size provide quenching area thus improved combustion or something alike.
