did it change the driving characteristics? tighten up understeer? create too much oversteer?

One more thing, the other night I got a reality check when I took a semi-steep spped bump the way I usually did before the bar (one wheel on, other wheel off the edge of the bump) and ATE it. The raised/lowered rim/lip of the mounting points were what scraped, but the bar overall was just fine. As much as possible, take speed bumps head-on with the bar installed folks!
