They look good but, It really screws with the beam and I cant get my HIDs to throw the beam out nearly as far as yours are. Plus the beam looks somewhat spotty. Im gonna have to see if I can angle them up some more.
Well, also might be the focus... I noticed that my output was kinda dim at first, and the "against-the-wall" beam looked a bit "hollow". On my kit, there's 3 tiny screws on the base of the connector that you can use to adjust the beam pattern, and even align it to a certain extent.
Sometimes it's also the K rating; sometimes going too high may look good, but sometimes that kills it as well. Mine are 4100K, just like most factory BMW/Lexus, whereas I drove next to a purple HID-equipped car, and my lights PWNED it in output; and I only had ONE Silverstar light (plus the fogs)!
If that's not the problem, the physics of lighting notates that black absorbs light and doesn't reflect as good as silver, not to mention I noticed that's been the chief complaint of many people who have black housing lights.

Well it should already have one... At least in my kit, there should be a cluster of 3 wires running from the igniter (in the pic it's that black thing next to the ballast); 2 plugs and 1 with a metal loop. The largest plug goes into the ballast, the thin plug goes to the connector of the HID bulb, and then the one with the loop is the ground.
Hope this helps!
