Man if you look at some of my previous posts you'll see I've been searching around for the same and I am also interested in the South Bend clutch for the same reasons you are, but again, no one seems to have any reviews for our car so when you get it, please please please let me know!!!! (even if you have to PM me). I am interested in the DXD series but if you have good reviews on the Rally series then that will satisfy me. Thanks a lot man!!!

Hey I might be needing a new clutch as well, lemee know what you think of it! For anyone that knows, on the freeway i notice if im in fourth or fifth and gun it, the rpms jump up a bit and then it catches and I speed up, is that a sign that its going or something else? Flywheel maybe? I wish i knew...

Mike, that is what mine is doing, and it will get worse. It's clutch time!

I am getting it installed Monday so I will let you all know what I think of it after. It's the rally series that I purchased since I don't plan on supercharging or anything in the future.

That's a sign that the clutch is slipping.... same thing happening to me, same reason why I need a new clutch.

I haven't heard a lot of good things about the centerforce in toyota's, but I know they do make good domestic clutches.

Oh, my spec 2+ is in as well as the fidanza flywheel. I haven't really been able to get on it, since I am still breaking it in. WOW, it has some grip! It is going to be damn fun when I get it broke in. Great decision in my book.

Damn. Any idea how much time/miles I have left? How should I be driving, low rpm or something?

^^My clutch lasted about 5k more miles before it totally crapped out on me. Slipping is no fun, but if you can baby it and squeeze some more miles out of it, it will be worth it. If it is slipping bad, it will get to smelling hot, you will definitely notice. At this point, any time you race it, be expecting to completely lose the clutch. Mine only slipped occasionally and then one night I decided to run it really hard and it toasted the clutch for good. Good luck bro.

Damn thanks man, I dont exactly have 800 laying around to get a new clutch put in, whats the most cost effective route? Buying an oem online and then having a shop install it?

Yeah, that would be a lot cheaper. You don't have to replace the flywheel either, which cost a lot of money for me. I think you can get it done with an oem clutch and just resurfacing the flywheel for under $550. I didn't really have that much money to go big at the time either, but I figured that for $350 labor, I should do it right once, so I would never second guess my decision.

I would give a hard look at the south bend clutch. It seems like a heck of a good deal. I just hope that it's durability is good as well. Good luck bro.

if you're already paying for the labor to replace the clutch... you should buy the flywheel.

It's actually a very cost effective mod because of how many hp it frees up in 1st and 2nd.

Well, it will cost around $75-100 to resurface, or you can buy a fidanza on ebay right now for around $325. I thought you were low on cash?

I'm having mine resurfaced because i cant afford to buy the whole thing... If I win the lottery I'll replace the whole thing, heck even the car, but i doubt it.
