Like Jon11582: if its under $250, count me in, beyond 250 - I'd have to wait it out - or see and be convinced!

Q? do you have to swap out the projectors to make em HID's or the existing projectors would be good enough to be used in conjuction with D2r ior d2s's.

I'm not sure how to answer your question but I think if you got projectors you won't need the HID mod. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm pretty sure the projectors, or any aftermarket headlamps would be made to fit whatever the standard bulb is - H4/9003s for gen1. I dont think they would make it for d2r or d2s fitment since that would require some reharnessing of the wire to fit these bulbs, and additionally, you would not be able to use regular bulbs with it. If this is the case, you should still be able to use our standard lamps, or an HID kit fitted for H4/9003 fitment. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I cant imagine it being any other way.

They should make headlights for Gen1, since thats the most popular Solara up til now, with silver/chrome and black housing, and see where it goes from there.

Just curious - How many responses are they looking for?

Would be nice to know too before I get my hopes up...

Also, what would everyone use for their corners with the black housing?

I asked as my ES has got projectors (halogen), but i have to use silverstars! I asked cus i know 99.9999% they will be hallogen projectors (thereby keeping it DOT legal and may need h3 bulbs - guessing). But that housing would be my good base for retro'ing other projectors in its space hence i asked...any idea on the size of the projectors??? I know i'm prob letting my hopes up...this is afterall a toyota community..like other GB's...i can predict the outcome..but keeping fingers crossed!!

I don't wanna say I'm in it or not but if there's a silver one ill consider it cause I don't want black ones... Don't really think black clear corners will look good on a dwp
