HmM... was in the For Sale section and alot of peeps are talking down on the GC coilovers... i know that this topic is floating around somewhere.. but everytime I do a search my comp freezes up..LOL


Neways... i mean not like im gonna get GC coilovers, but I was wondering why these suck so much arse according to alot of the members here on the site

These coilovers seem to work awesome on alot of platforms.. why not ours?

every car is different. take in the spring rates, weight of the car and the strut's ability to absorb all the punishment.

the GC system is just too much of a load to be combined with any strut for the solara.

i guess the tokicos for our platform were not made to go that low.

I've ridden in Miltdog's Solara. (Eibach Springs/ Ground Control "coil over"). Every little bump you hit, you hear "THUMP". And about a month after I rode in his car, they blew. This also happened to ICrazyChrisI.

GC may be a decent company, but I'm sure the lack of damper adjustability contributes to the premature wear of these things. They feel really stiff and may be great for OFF ROAD ONLY use, but for a daily driver, hell no.
